How do I evict a roommate that had a verble agreement to clean and cook
After my mom died I used my savings to supplement her income and 10yrs later my house was very cluttered and my savings was gone. After trying several people who were homeless to help me save my house which I almost lost, I was left with a woman that I offered that if she would help me clean the house and cooked she would not half to leave and depending how my loan mortg. Modification goes and of course if our personalities didn't clashed she could stay. Well it worked out pretty well the worked preformed was excellent and her cooking was good. Also surviving when one did not have the other tried his /her best for food. This occurs because I am the only one with a money income which is used for paying bills and creditors and for part of the month I can't provide food for myself . Now my sister lost her jobs(lost one then found a temp job but now its over) and with that her apartment and must be out by the end of may. So when my sister lost her first job I made it known to kathy that she would would half to vacate the room. Also before that she said that if she knew that this would work that she could get some rent money for me from general assistance but she would not do this until we agreed that the living situation would go on long term. Well in all it has been about eight months. I thought kathy(the woman) was keeping up and when my sister lost the second job that the room was once again going to be vacated for my sister. She claims that she is not moving that my sister(kim) can stay where she is at for 90 days and that she is to old(58) and does not have enough time to find some where else to go and I better see a lawyer to get her out. At the time I was going offer the couch but since she is not co-operating and won't leave the room I just want her out.I have no experience as a land lord, I was just trying to save my house and have enough to eat per month. So I guess what she is saying is that I must go through a eviction process and I am clue lessl of how to do this.

If she is not using your address as a mailing address you should be able to just put her out. Call the police and ask them to help you remove a trespasser or when she leaves which she will eventually hurry and change the locks and politely put her stuff on the porch.

First who exactly owns the house,

If the sister is on the deed ?

If the sister who is a resident there allows the other person to stay, you may well have to evict both of them.

But yes, you will have to give them written notice they are to move, and if they don't, file in court for an eviction.
