I had a funky negative hpt, it had a bit of dye running upwards, like the top line of the plus, but it only went about half way up. I checked it again a little while later, past the ten minute zone, and it was a full on plus. Very faint, but very visible. Then, I got two negative tests the same week. What does that mean?

Since the first one was not the norm, I would discount it. All tests should be read within the time frame given in the directions as many will show an error if read afterwards.

Are you late for a period or testing prior to when your period is due? If late... give it another week and see if your period is just off; try another test if need be. If still negative, see what happens next month; might just be skipping this month. Not the norm, but it can happen.

If your period is not due yet... wait and see what happens when it is actually due and test accordingly if necessary.
