Me and my fh need to get married asap. We want to get married in nj. Luckily I have lived in nj for a while. Anyway we want to get married in a court house. And we would like to know the cost of it. We want to get married at the court house in deptford nj. Any advice much appreciated.

Call the Clerk's Office and ask the cost of the marriage license and the cost of the ceremony.

Also ask if there's a waiting period and how long it is.

You are confusing me - before you get invitations make sure you can HAVE guests at a Courthouse wedding.

You also asked about the cost of the license AFTER you posted the cost of the license on another thread.

Are you for real?

I'm sorry I didn't even think to ask if I could have guests I'm sorry for the confusion were trying to get married at a court house to save us money. I was assuming we could have guests but I'm not sure. That's why I was going to call next week to ask if we can have guests. See my friend is also getting married I believe at a court house and she was inviting people. So I thought I would be allowed to have guests.

You cannot have guests other than two witnesses at my local Courthouse - but I live in a small Town.

Call and check.

Did you get a dress yet? What does it look like? I got married three months ago and picking the dress was the hard part.

Yes, in many court house weddings, few wear "dresses" many court houses do weddings at specific times, the couples and their witness if needed wait in the lobby, the judge calls them into his office ( not courtroom) and does the service in about 3 min and calls in the next couple. They often do 10 couples in 45 min easy.
