Hampton bay redington I've ceiling fan 52-RDT
I bought this fan several years ago. I have the manual but cannot find the receipt. I know that the motor has a lifetime warranty. I pulled the switch for the fan and accidentally pulled it off. The fan won't work now. My electrician replaced the switch but it still won't work. The lights work fine. The remote works the lights but not the fan. Could it be the motor or what. Can I purchase a new motor. I really like the fan. Please help.

    You can either:

    1. Contact the manufacturer for the correct pullchain

    2. Return the entire fan to Home Depot for a replacement under warranty

I think you might have trouble if you broke a switch and want replacement because the motor has a warranty. It may not be the motor and I suspect the switch may be installed wrong or even the wrong switch used. Have your friend bypass the switch entirely and see if the remote can run the fan. The entire fan has a lifetime warranty. They should replace it and have in the past.
