What's wrong with my remote to my ceiling fan?
We installed a Hampton Bay ceiling fan and the remote control. It was working fine, but we have gremlins now. The light will suddenly come on and the fan is on high only. It won't turn off or change speeds. In fact, when I try to do either, it will slow down and then start to speed up again. We are hoping for some ideas on where to start looking for repair options.

Is it still under warranty, if so take it back but first try this. Open the canopy and the hand held remote battery compart. Move all the switches on both units to OFF. Does it work better now, if not return it under warranty.
