Make portable dishwasher permanent with washer connection
There are other questions that are the same as mine on here, but do not have all the answers I need.
We have a space in our laundry room to store a portable dishwasher right next to the water hookups for the washing machine. It is right off the kitchen so convenient, but would be more convenient if we could just run the dishwasher where it's at. Also, I want to get a faucet/sprayer in one, which would make it not possible to hook a portable up to the sink anymore.
What all do I need to do to make this work?
I've read different things about hoses to use, connections to use, but I need more detail.
    • Can I just use a splitter to keep my washing machine hooked up as well as the DW? (one with a switch, of course)
    • What do I need to do to effectively/correctly hook up the hose to such a faucet? It is obviously not the same as the kitchen sink.
    • What do I need to do for the drain pipe? Can I drain it into the same place the washer drains into?
    • The water in and out will both be higher than the DW, is that okay/ will it still drain right?

If my questions don't make sense, let me know and I can try to clarify.
pictures of where it will go/hookups

    Thanks.

We live in an old farm house with a kitchen that was not built for dishwashers and limited cupboards. We are wanting a dishwasher, but don't have room for a permanent, but we don't like the idea of hooking up to the kitchen sink every time to do dishes either. We have a place for a dishwasher, but...
