    Just fixed the same problem. The heating element had burned through and the wire coil was broken. A Sears parts center had the unit in stock for around $65. It took about 1/2 hour to remove the back of the dryer (9 screws) and to pull the old heater coil out (2 more screws). 3 wires to hold the thermostat in place and the dryer now works just fine.
