By the way the reason I am asking is because most of his life she has ran with him he is almost 10 now and considers this man his father and pretty much tells me that he don't want to be here or come here when I am sapposed to have him also there are so many problem with the mother pulling him away from me when I start to get close yo him this is hard on me and been going on for 9 almost 10 years and I have only at most been able to spend I would say 1 to 2 yrs with him mostly when he was an infant. And before I get this woman answers backlashing at me saying there must have been a reason for it all, there was none I treated this woman like a queen she moved away with her dad and mine and started screwing my dad then eventually moved onto my uncle. And before you say I should have picked a better woman, MOST put on a front till its too late, the only reason I am defending mydelf in any way I have see some of the women on this sites responses there are a few that understand the mans side of it all but a lot of pro woman in a lot of responses here. I understand all have there opinion and I respect that but wanted to cover some before I start to get bashed.(IF I do not saying anyone will)

As long as the stepfather is willing to adopt, you should have no fees.

You may still have to pay back child support, but you should have no child support from the day the child is adopted.

Court fees for the adoption generally fall to the adopters, not to the parents relinquishing rights so that the adoption can take place.
