    Adding ringtones to cordless phone
    Hi,

Is there any way to add ringtones to a phone not designed for that purpose? I have a vtech cs6329-2, which is a very basic phone. I was wondering if there is any way to get at the guts of the phone and add some
More ringers. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. :)

I don't think that this is possible as the ringtones are only for cell phones with that capability. A home cordless phone does not fall under that category. You'll have to live with the ringtones the phone has now or get a different cordless phone that has several ring tones to chose from. I have a cordles Uniden model that has 7 different ringtones already built in for my selection. Shop around. Those phones are available on the market with the preset ringtones. Or get a cell phone and use that as your home phone instead and then you can have whatever ringtone your heart desires that you can download into the phone. Until then, you're stuck with what you have.

    I think anything is possible:
    Ringboxx:
    http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/news/...f-ringboxx.ars

Amazon.com: Home Phone Tunes HPT-003 Ringboxx Petty Racing: Electronics

Edit:Will not work with a cordless phone.
Can be done with a chip in the handset, not for the squeemish.
