I'm 29 y.o. and stopped the pill in feb. after being on it for 14 yrs.
I am a 29 year old female in generally decent health. I stopped the marvelon pill in February 2010 after being on it for 14 years. Each month, my period has been getting shorter, where this month it was only 1 day and not "normal" but brownish with small clots (I think minimal). It also does not seem to be regular ranging between 25 to 32 days between the first day of each cycle. I am very concerned because I would like to get pregnant at this time and afraid there is something wrong with me. Please help. Should I seek a doctor at this point (afraid to confront the idea of infertility). Help

There is a period of your body adjusting to not being on the pill and it can take up to several months for you to begin ovulating and having normal cycles.

Post-pill amenorrhea ,the complete absence of periods is also not uncommon.

A visit to you G.Y.N. is in order to get an exam and answer all your questions.
I think it is too soon to be worrying about fertility. You GYN can test you for ovulation and answer your concerns.
