I hate myself.
My life seems like a dead end.
I have friends who are great and parents who love me, but everything thing seem to never go up. I could be in the happiest place in the world and still be depressed. I sometimes want to kill myself. I see a theripist, but nothing is working.

It's hard to see things in yourself that make you dislike yourself. You may unconsciously speak negatively to yourself and have convinced yourself that despite what family and friends say you are somehow unworthy of love. But it is not true. You have to make an effort to speak positively to yourself. Anytime you can remember make affirmations to yourself. Say the words: I am strong, I am smart, I am loved, I deserve happiness, I will have success and I am not anyone's victim. Make small attainable goals and achieve them, this will help to rebuild your self-esteem and your feelings of worth. Trust me, death will come soon enough with old age. You are here for a reason, there is a purpose for your life. It will be revealed to you in time. For now you must focus on today, this day that you were blessed with to be alive, to show kindness, to enjoy your family and your friends. Appreciate those people whose hearts would break if you were gone. Let that be you first goal. If you've been doing things the same way for a while try something different. If you're abusing drugs get sober. Come out of your comfort zone and try something new. Say something new, try to see from a different perspective. You are not alone and your problems mirror another's. But there is hope.

There is help out there for people with depression.

You really need to find another mental health professional that will listen and work closely with you.
