    Building a multi-level deck
I am building a multilevel deck. I live in the state of Missouri, St Louis County, city of Chesterfield, can I attach two levels together with 2 x 4 cleats and 5/8" carriage bolts spaced every 24" on the backside of the header at the end of the deck allowing a second header for the next deck would then be 8" below the level of the first deck. I have a diagram that I could email to explain better.
    Thank You
