    I am trying to locate a " TRANSAXLE UNIT " for a 1980 / Wards Tractor
Hello people, The other day when using this Antique tractor, the gearing went out all of a sudden. There was no explosion, or loud bang. The 3 forward speeds, and reverse... ARE ALL SHOT ! Prior to this happening, I did note that while cutting the lawn it did seem to stumble and then catch/drive again. None of this problem was due to a Drive belt, that was working fine... NO SLIPPAGE. The Transaxle itself is Blown, and I would like to find another in Good shape. I am really Surprised it lasted this long, because for the past 14 Years I have pulled a Lawn Aerator loaded with a 100 pounds of weight with it when cutting the grass. Years back I bought a Lifetime Warranted drive belt from Murray's auto store to propel the tractor. This has saved me from Bankruptcy, because I went through a belt every 2 to 3 yrs. With that kind of Torque load over the yrs.. . Nothing lasts forever !
WELL PEOPLE... I KNOW IT'S A "LONG SHOT," But does anyone out there have a 3-speed transaxle they want to part with? Any and All Help trying to locate this Trans. Will be Appreciated. Thanks to All, Nitro-Btu.
