    What is the best fruit tree to train on to a north facing wall?
    Have a large shady wall and would like to fan train a fruit tree against it which would be the best?

    You won't have much luck growing anything well on a shady wall except boston ivy, english ivy, etc. Nice landscaping technique and a wonderful idea but not practical if you intend on spending money on any fruit tree.
