How Do You Think This Name Should Be Pronounced, Please?
Hi, All!
The name is Liesl.
Also, do you know if it's the name that would normally be given to a man or a woman, or maybe even both?
I believe that it's Scandinavian in origin.
Thanks!

One of the Von Trapp daughters was named Liesl. I have an Aunt named Liselotte, we call her Lilo. :)

Not according to Wiki. :)
It's of German origin.
I'm sure there are Scandinavian girls named Liesl, but the name didn't originate there. Still Europe is Europe. ;)

I now know that the person is a woman.
The reason that I asked the question in the first place, was because the person with that first name contacted me by email to do some painting at her home.
She's the Registrar and Assistant Dean at one of the local colleges. So, I didn't want to blow it with the pronunciation of her name. Working for her could lead to other clients very easily.
A professor from the same college also contacted me by phone within the same 24 hour time to tune a piano at her own home. To my knowledge, the occurrences are unrelated. But, it's kind of neat that it happened! :)
