    TLQD on perscription bottle means..
My mom got perscribed a generic for Paxil and the bottle says
1 TLQD FOR 2 WEEKS, THEN 2 DAILY.
    What does TLQD mean?
Just wanted to check before she calls the pharmacy tomorrow.

The initials q.d. (qd or QD) is once a day; q.d. stands for "quaque die" (which means, in Latin, once a day). I don't know what TL means. The pharmacist will know. Why are you checking here before she calls the pharmacy?

My mom was curious and she gets anxious if she has to sleep on not knowing something. So basically I'm showing her this so that she can get some sleep tonight.

Could it be an I rather than l? Indicating 3x daily? Is this the prescription or label you're reading from? There is no reason a label should contain anything less than clear and precise dosage information, be understandable by the patient without reference to a Latin translator. By all means please clarify with pharmacist.

She ended up calling her doctor the very next morning and found out that it's once a day for two weeks.

Thanks for all of your help.
