OK so
I missed about 3 pills in a row last week, and I had a period for maybe 4 days after that with extreme cramping, but I continued taking my pill and know I have been on my sugar pills for 3 days and I am now getting brown, chunky spotting and had slit cramping/ nausea this morning. Note that I have a very bad memory and I have missed up to I week of birth control before and this did not happen. And on another note I have had sex on the days I missed and did not use a condom.
So is this normal?

Why didn't you take the sugar pills while you were on your period? That's what they are for..

Two forms of birth control is always best.

It sounds normal.. you took regular pills during your period and sugar pills after thereby tricking your body into thinking that it was time for your period (even though you just had it).

No I'm on a 28 day cycle and I was only thought a week of it when I missed 3 pills and then I started bleeding, while I was still on the hormone pills ( I continued to take them) and now I am on my sugar pills and having brown spotting

Yes, I understood what you said. You should have started taking the sugar pills while you were bleeding and continued the hormone pills are your period.
