My niece plead guilty to a credit card fraud and was convicted.
In Pennsylvania my niece plead guilty to a credit card fraud charge. She was young and scared and her lawyer wasn't at the top of his game. She served three days in jail and probation for 36 months. She has a felony on her record now and she is trying to get her life together after a very stupid mistake. Any suggestions on what route to take to try to help her in this matter? Maybe a starting place? Thanks for any information.

She could apply for an expungment. That'll seal her record...

But most likely it will have to be about 8 years after the crime to get the expungment. For now, she does her probation, does not do any more criminal activity, Finds the best job she can.
She should have a meeting with a criminal law attorney to see what the local court there requires to explunge a record.
