    Tree Repair Questions
This Tree was a gift from my mother-in-law on our wedding. About a year after planting this tree I hit it with the lawn mower and took off some bark. I tried to duck tape it up, that was about two years ago now. The tree has not grown much sense it was planted but it does have a few new growths coming up just below where I had damaged it. The tree is about 8 feet tall and the spers are about 2 feet tall. Where the damage is the core of the main tree looks dead in the center but has good bark about 3/4 around. This spring everything has new leaves and looks good except where I had damaged it. Should I cut down the main trunk and a couple of the spers and let the best sper take over.
