    Extremely shy and boy challenged
Hello. I'm in need of advice, please. I'm extremely shy, and boy challenged. I hardly talk to my family and people I don't know. I meen I am SUPER shy. When I go someplace, I'll smile and mouth the words "hi" akwardly to people. I look down and won't make eye contact, and hugs make me go into a cold sweat. When someone will try to strike a conversation, I'll shy away or stutter a reply and then walk away. I keep finding myself hiding in the corner watching people have fun, and I am just sick of it. I'm also horrid when it comes to boys. Example: There was a guy coming up to talk to me, and I started walking away and then I feel out of my high heels and tripped. Another example: I was running when a boy came to talk to me, and when I noticed he was waving my way and telling me to slow down, I sped up out of fear and tripped over my dog and fell in mud. Stuff like this is constantly happening, and I feel like I'm just so stupid afterwards. I'm not insecure about myself, I'm just shy and afraid of saying something wrong. I'm not shy around super close friends, and that's it. Does anyone know anything I may be able to do to stop being so shy. I try to just kick the habit, but it isn't working out very well. Thanks for the help!

I used to be extremely shy. When I was fifteen I got a job as a waitress and boy did I ever change! I would tell anyone who is shy to go be a waitress because you have to talk to people, and the more you talk to them the more they tip you. Now I don't think twice about talking to anyone. Once you realize people are usually too busy worrying about themselves saying something dumb to even notice that you did too.

Oh wow, I never really thought about that. Waitressing is a very good idea, thank you!

EXTREMELY old B/W masterpiece [ 4 Answers ]

I only know one small scene that keeps coming up in documentaries about the history of cinema. It is some sort of an "underground orgy".
