Should I call him?
I want to call this guy I met a few days ago. We went on a date and the day after our date I texted him to let him know I was thinking of him. He called me that night. But I haven't heard from him all day today. I sent him a text to see how he was doing, but he did not reply. If I don't call him I don't want him to think I'm not interested in him, but he is not calling me, so I think he's not interested. Its like playing hard to get on both side. What should I do?

Lay low, you already after a date said that you were thinking of him. Getting too series too fast??
He called you back but you keep texting him? Leave it alone and let him respond next time, OK.

You should wait and let him reply!
And you shouldn't get a head of yourself.
1. You just went out
2. You texted and gave him positive feed back
3. He called you
So so far so good right?
Since the dating is new you should give yourselves time to take little steps at a time. DOn't rush it!
In other word, be paticient ;)

Wait for him to get in touch.
Meanwhile,go about your own business and don't overthink the situation.

Guys hate being hassled - and many of them prefer to take the lead.
You see it as him playing hard to get, but he's probably busy and you're not busy enough.
Don't call him. Give him something to look forward to.

You've done your part in letting him know that you're interested. Now the ball is on his side of the court.
If he contacts you, then go forward from there. As you know, silence is a sign of being disinterested. You might feel like you could have done more, but the bottom line is, if he's interested, he would contact you. Showing your interest is reassurance that it's mutual.

Don't harass him or you'll run him off for sure.
Slow down. You told him you were thinking about him already (even though it was way too soon), now leave the ball in his court.

I take his silence as not interested, and move to the next date with someone else who is interested
