    Missed Period
Hi there. I'm a 20 year old female and have missed my period for two months in a row now. Bottom line is, as anyone on here will tell me, that I need to see a doctor but, I'm looking for any way to possibly avoid that all together. I've been under a lot of stress at work lately... but it also happens that I have recently begun seeing someone as well. We had NOT had sex yet, nor has his penis come anywhere near me down there so I can't be pregnant. I also had developed a rash on my vulva and treated it as the early stages of a yeast infection, it has for the most part gone away. I have cramps right now but, still no period yet! Sorry for my question being all over the place but I just wanted to include all the symptoms and factors to try to help get an answer. I'm hoping it's just stress but I'm scared it's something more than that... STD? Hoping it's not, but from what I've heard it could be possible. Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks so much in advance!

Were you sexually active 2 months ago before all this happened?

Okay Lolly, well if what you told me in PM is true, you are not pregnant, and I highly doubt it to be an STD.

Can you tell me here if you have been on antibiotics recently?

Also, why is it you would rather not go to a doctor?

Glad to hear STD is on the back burner lol... I haven't been on anything in nearly 3 years antibiotic wise... so that's cleared out of my system by now. Would just rather not go to the doctor if it's something that isn't that serious that's all. If I'm mistaking the sytoms as something I can treat myself then I'd rather skip the whole doctor process.

Aha, you figured the site out!!

You can put STDs on the back burner. But when you are dealing with your reproductive health, you need to see a physician. It could be something very minor, or something serious, but without an examination it is impossible for us to tell.

Also, if you are planning on becoming sexually active it is important to get a physical to make sure you are 100% healthy.

I am sure you can understand that without a physcial we cannot tell you for sure what is going on. We might be able to give you some ideas, but we could be wrong and that could be dangerous to your health.

A yeast infection in the vaginal area does not usually present itself as a rash. It usually manifests as a whitish discharge with an odor as well as itching.

Make an appointment with a female gyncologist, since she has all the same "parts" as you, it might make you feel more comfortable. But I do believe you need to get checked out.
