Thermal limiter
I have a frigidaire dryer that is displaying all the same symptoms that would indicate the thermal limiter needs replacing, but when I tested the thermal limiter with my volt meter, is zeroed out like it is supposed to. Is it possible that the volt meter was reading wrong? I haven't heard of another cause for the same symptoms. The drum is free, motor is free, but when I hit start, nothing moves. I just get the little starter hum. Any ideas? Can I test the motor?

Hi,. I have replaced the thermal limiter on a Frigidaire crown series dryer four times in the last two years... and one I replaced three days ago has already tripped again... the lint trap is clean and the air flow vent hose is not obstructed... any idea's on what may be happening?. is the coil...
We have a Kenmore 27" laundry center washer-dryer combo. The dyer all of a sudden won't turn on. We checked the 2 problems the book reccomends checking... the plug and the fuse. Both are fine. That leaves the thermal limiter... how do we check that? Is it an easy repair that we can do it ourselves?
I tried to start my dryer Monday, it clicked and didn't start... Nothing will come on not even the light inside... I chked fuse box, no blown fuse. I found online that it could be that the thermal limiter is tripped, please advise... thanks!
