    How to remove the stem from a shower diverter valva
    The shower diverter valve has a small leak I want to replace the stem or gasket.

    Is it the pull up type that is in the bath faucet, or is it the type that has its own little face plate on the wall/front of tub?

    If the leak's from around the stem simply snug up the top nut until the leak stops. If you wish to remove the stem completely unscrew the nut closest to the valve body and back the stem out. Good luck, Tom
