    Trapped by parents
    Lately I've been feeling really trapped. I feel like I can't express myself because of how my parents like to raise me. They think that I have to be the perfect child for them. I want to do things they don't approve of and they arnt bad things, just things that show who I am and what I want to be. I've tried to tell them, but they think I'm getting lippy when I try so I try to exclude myself from them, but I'm still feeling trapped. I don't know how I can express myself without my parents holding me back. I have a huge heart, and they don't, I need them to know that I want to be me for once.

    How old are you? 13, I believe? Does this have anything to do with you declaring you are bisexual and your parents' reaction?

    What is it that you want to do to express yourself that your parents won't allow you to do?

    That I can't save things. I tried to save a puppy that was going to die, but they didn't even care. There so heartless. And they keep me away from my friends. And they worry so much.

    No I didn't. But I got better. I don't cut anymore. And I've been happier. Just I'm tired of being trapped. They worry about who I hang out with and I've always had a heart to saving animals. But they hate them..

    What other things (beside saving animals) do you want to do?

    How are you saving animals? Do you volunteer at a shelter?

    The world is full of all kinds of people. I'm sure that your parents really love you and just want to protect you.

    You're only 14 - you'll have many years after you're grown to do your own thing. Be patient.
