Am I pregnant? Having implantation bleeding? Or having very irregular periods?
Hi everyone. So I don't know what is going on with my body. I am 22 years old, in great health, the only bad thing is I drink occasionally with my friends, maybe 2-3 times a month. Other than that, I eat very healthy, I'm 5'1 and 105 lbs. But recently my periods have been all messed up, and now I am thinking I may be pregnant. My periods are regularly about 1 month and 5 days apart. So its normal for them to be a little more spread out. The longest I have EVER gone without my period was a month and 10 days. But that only happened once. So, in January I started on the 3rd, and had a regular period. Then I started my next period February 8th. Had a regular period again. It came to March and I kept waiting and waiting. My period never came. On the 25th still no bleeding, so I took a pregnancy test, and it was negative. I tried not to stress out too much, because I know my periods have always been a little late. Finally on March 27th (A month and 19 days later from my last period) I started bleeding, and had my cramps as usual. But then, 2 days later, on the 29th I stopped. This was weird to me because I always have my periods for at least 5 days, if not longer. I didn't think anything of it, just assuming it was just a little shorter than usual. Then last Friday, April 2nd, I started cramping SO bad. All day and all night, the only time it would let up is when I take a lot of Midol. I thought this was weird. I always cramp before and during my period... but I don't understand why I'm cramping 4-5 days after my bleeding stopped. I have been cramping every single day since, it hasn't stopped, so for 4 days now. The 3rd day of cramping (Easter) I starting have really weird symptoms. I woke up extremely light headed, feeling like I was going to faint. I was SO tired, extremely lethargic, having no energy whatsoever, and still really bad cramps. I have no way to explain my tiredness. I'm very healthy, been getting plenty of sleep. I've had some people suggest I may have had a miscarriage, but I read up on that, and it said if I did I would have bled for over a week if that was the case. Could I be pregnant? Maybe I'm having an ectoptic pregnancy? I didn't think I could because I bled for 2 days, but I've read that its possible I could have had "Implantation" bleeding. I don't know. I'm just so confused and scared. I'm going to take another pregnancy test tomorrow and see, but maybe its to early to detect that. I think I'm going to go see the doctor tomorrow if I still feel the same. What are your thoughts? Could I be pregnant? Or am I just have an extremely irregular weird period? Some people say it may be because I'm just stressed, but I really haven't been stressed at all the last few months. What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that you should see your doctor as soon as possible.

There are other reasons--some of them very serious--that you could be having the cramping and symptoms that you have, and NOT have it be a pregnancy at all.

Implantation bleeding, contrary to belief, is actually VERY rare.

Thank you so much for responding. That's what I'm beginning to think. I think there may be something else totally separate going on, and I really need to just see a doctor so I can start figuring this out.

Please realize too that you could just be having a change in your periods. That does happen to many women on occasion.

You should still see your doctor, however, to rule out any problems it might be. I don't want you to be terrified, but I do want you to realize that this could be very serious.
