How much would it cost to install bathroom and laundry room plumbing in a slab?
We are looking to move our laundry room and powder room to our back hallway, which is on a concrete slab. Currently the washer/dryer are in between the kitchen and living room (very noisy and inconvenient) and the powder room is right off the living room making for little privacy. The only thing in the back hallway is the water heater. How much are we looking at dollar wise to move the plumbing for the laundry room and powder room to the back hall?

You're asking us to make a estimate on a remodel that we haven't seen, don't know the labor costs in your area and have no idea how much material will be used.
We're good but not that good. Get three estimates from local plumbers and go with the one you're most comfortable with.
    Good luck, Tom

Just did the EXACT thing your wanting to do. $2000 This inclued ENTIRE new drain from house to city, roughly 70 feet. Added laundry room on to garage (had same setup as you). Laundry tub, washer, and floor drain. Pulled permit myself, copper, pvc, and cement etc.

I am moving my laundry from the basement to the 1st floor. There is a 2" drain line from the kitchen sink near by so I can run the new washer drain into that. Should I use 1 1/2" or 2" PVC from the washer to the existing 2" PVC? Also, where is the best place to put the trap? The area below is...

Rough plumbing for laundry room/kitchen sink [ 16 Answers ]

Hello, I have put together a very rough sketch of how I would like to run my rough drains for our laundry room and kitchen sink in our old 100+ year old remodel. If anyone could take a look and let me know if it looks like it would meet code (UCC 2006), I would appreciate it greatly. I guess...

Plumbing an upstairs laundry room [ 6 Answers ]

I would like to put my washer and dryer on the second floor, almost directly above the current location. I plan to install a laundry box with a 2" standpipe approx 35" high and use a p-trap. Under the washer, I will install a pan and drain it to the outside of the house. On the second...

Clogged laundry room floor drain - slab house [ 2 Answers ]

What a watery mystery I have in my laundry room. Whenever my washing machine empties the tub of water it backs up into the nearby floor drain. I had a plumber out and he snaked the drain (not through the roof vent, but throughout the cleanout by the floor drain). Because he only had a 50' snake...
