Would really appreciate opinions - do you think I will hear from him?
Threads merged
Hi:) I was out Saturday night and ended up chatting to a guy at the end of the night. There had been many glances back and forth throughout the night until eventually one of his friends came over and introduced us! It seems he is shy! Anyhow we chatted for a while and he seemed really nice. We got a cab and he dropped me off at my place (he paid:)). When I was leaving he asked for my number and said he would like to meet again. Anyway I gave him the number and went inside. As he was walking back to the cab my room mate pulled up in another taxi, she had met him earlier in the night so she said hi. Apparently he was kindof doing a little bit of a dance as he was happy and told her he had got my number and was really happy. Anyway today is Tuesday and still no text. She is absolutely shocked and I'm a little disappointed. Do you think it's a bit early to be thinking he won't text or as my friend thinks - I should leave it a few more days before writing him off? Please help, the more answers the better, head is fried!!

Relax. He may text, he may not. You won't know, but don't go writing him off. You never know what'll happen and its not like he did anything bad to you, he got your number and that means he liked you. He will probably call in my opinion. Just wait it out.
But don't put your life on hold

Thanks larken85:confused:
Won't be putting my life on hold!! In my opinion it would be far better for a guy to say nice to meet you and walk away instead of this nonsense of asking for a number they have no intention using:mad:

Unfry your head,and relax.
What's the hurry?
He may get in touch,he may not-meanwhile go about your business and don't keep staring at your phone.

Since you don't have his number, the only thing that you can do is wait and see.

Just go on with your life as usual and don't get so worked up about it. Give him extra time to text.
Relax - men just don't operate on the same timeframe as women.

You are right amicon, I def need to relax a bit. Its very unusual for me to like somebody straight away so guess that has made me more anxious! Anyway its Wednesday so I've given up and lost faith:(. Fungirl is now sadgirl!!

Hi I wish:) I don't have his number but I have a means of getting it!! His friend and one of my friends do be in touch with each other. His friend actually called my friend last night and asked if he had contacted me. He said he was surprised and asked would I have given wrong number by mistake. Now I was out that night and had a few drinks but pretty sure I put in the right number. Hoping the friend will come back with some info but he lives in the states so who knows when they will be chatting. How id love there to be an explanation like wrong no, lost phone or something as we live quite a distance from each other and I will prob never see him again :(:(

Wouldn't email have been an easier means?
If you really want to get in touch with him, why not ask your mutual friend to get his email?

Maybe you gave him the wrong number, but please don't go calling him. If he needs you he will contact you, irrespective of the number you gave him.. you mentioned that he is kind of shy, that's a big problem, because he might really really want to talk to you,but he isn't got the courage, just like me! he might just be waiting for you to call him,or at least say hello, and that's all.are you really sure he is the shy type,if you are, then please CALL him.its just a call, just once. Luck!

Next time a guy ask for your number, give it to him and have him txt you right away or a call, that way you have his number in case he doesn't call and you want to call him.

fungirl2010 agrees : Well talaniman you are obviously much stronger than me! Unfortunately as I said before I don't meet many guys that I like so when I do I think about them! Anyway 6 days later no call, no text so I had better put it to the back of my head. Still have
Not stronger, just been through it a few times back in the day, so its easier to get over, but the problem wasn't meeting girls, it was the feelings of rejection by them not showing any interest. You just learn to keep it moving. Practice made perfect you might say. But I get where your coming from.
