Criminal damage to property 2nd degree
Any advice would be most helpful - my college age daughter was with a group of four kids who decided it would be fun to egg some cars - it turned out that the owners filed a complaint which led to my daughter's confession to the investigating officer. She did not agree to the function, but was along for the ride. I now have a notice to appear in court next week. She has no prior offenses, and neither do her parents so we are not sure about what to do. We have heard one of the other kids got a lawyer; somehow I can't see how something like this could bring about a Criminal Damage to Property 2nd charge. Sounds like the safe thing is to get a lawyer.
    Thanks

Always a good thing, If this is JUV court, most require a child to be represented by an attorney or a advocate to protect the child's rights, even from the parent at times.

And I don't know why you can't see this as a serious damage, if the egg dries in the sun, it can ruin a paint job, and cause 1000's of dollars per car damage. Which parents will have to pay for normally.

Just minor damage to one car will still easy be over 500 to 1000 often with repairs costs so high.

But yes, always an attorney if you are being tried for some criminal offense
