Custody of child who was removed by social services
My husbands child was removed by social services from the child's mothers home. They live in Kentucky we live in Indiana. How do we get custody of him. She has been charged with indecent exposure charges and is in a step dads aunts home. We were told by an attorney that it would take eight weeks to complete an investigation of our home and by that time, the child could be back with his mother. What do we do? [email protected]

Go through with the investigation. Then file a motion for custody, whether he's back with his mother by then or not. Be sure to document everything that caused social services to remove him from his mother's home in the first place. Have you tried getting temporary custody from social services directly? That could be a significant first step.
