    100 kg of water will produce 100 kg of steam. Mass is something which remains constant.

    However, the volume is different. If you do chemistry, you can use the formula PV = nRT to find the volume of the steam. This gives you about 170 m^3, or 1700 L, which is about 17 times the initial volume of the liquid.

    That's most strange. That question just doesn't makes sense now... how can you have steam within an area? And what exactly is steam coal?
