How do you remove the ends of a wired Kenmore Vacuum cleaner hose and put them on a new hose bought as a replacement part? Thank you.

How do you remove the ends of a wired Kenmore Vacuum cleaner hose and put them on a new hose bought as a replacement part? Thank you.

Usually it turn clock wise

[help me please]

I cannot get the ends to turn.
One end looks like it has a small slit on each side of it like you could push domething into it and force plastic pieces to disengage.
I bought this hose to try to save some money.
Perhaps I need to also buy the new ends.
