What is the law for eviction?I have a 17 and she has a 2 month old and I am disabled.
My sister-in-law owns the house I live in. She is losing it to Foreclosure. What is the law (or is there even a law) for a home going into foreclosure when a 17 year old and a 2 month old lives in the home with myself. I am also on disability. I do not want to cause any problems, but it is so hard finding an affordable and decent place to live. I am looking but do I have a leg to stand on. She is telling me the bank says I have 30 days. Is this true?

Yeah its true... the house is theirs, they can do what they want... as long as the law is followed in the process. I'd start looking NOW. At least you found out before the actual foreclosure took place. You might have a little time after the actual foreclosure, so you might actually have more than 30 days, they likely won't initiate the eviction process until that point. I wouldn't waste any of it.
