    Cervical spine stenosis
Dear all.I had a RTA in feb 05 and received soft tissue injury in neck and shoulder(L ) side. However in may 05 again I was rear ended and again soft tissue injuries in ( R) side neck and shoulder, with severe pain lower lumbar spine and again x ray showed no bone issues. Having suffered for 6 months doc sends me to specilist who finds weekness in left leg and does MRI. Nothing shows up on this so I am sent back to family doc for more painkillers.1 year later still on 300 Tabs a month doc sends me to another specialst who can't find the original Mri says not worth getting another MRI as 1st specialest had found nothing. He sends me to pain doc who does epedural this works for 4 months. Then back on tabs for 2 years.after this time family doc sends me to a new hospital for second MRI for comparison but the hospital send images back to first specialist who reports no abnormal findings.with segestion of soft tissue injuries again doc continues with tabs for another year mean while pain in back remain the same but neck and shoulder worsens. So I make a decsion to see a Nero specialest myself to look at the 2 Mri I have, who says no boney issues in neck but the injury to (L2) has healed what says I there wasn't any injury to my back. He looks again and confirms there was.hesends me to another pain specialeist who does another epedural on my back. But it has little or no effect on the pain there. My neck and shoulder is in bits at this stage head Ames electric shocks pins and needles and spasams I have also been getting Physio weekly since the crash. I am callid to attend the insurance doc who first says I have Nero mi opathy then 5 minutes later says I have a deep seated mental instabality. I turn to thermol images which says I am in a messin neck and back. Now I am mad so I travel to the other side of the contry and pay for a third MRI with instruction to return report to my family doc only.report return and states no honey issues with Lower lumbar.however presence of mild stenosis in C2,C5,C6 with hardning of pigments presnt. Bu goes on to say does not believe this is the reason for constant pain. So I return to pain specialist and he does a opsipical nerve block this completely removes all pain from upper body for 14 days then returns.the final straw now 5 years into this constant pain and 9 months after the last MRI new problem arrives total loSs of feeling in my right hand gust for 2-3 minutes at a time so in I go to the Nero specialst and show him the new MRI and he says I should have returned to he sooner as I have a nerve compression on that MRI A c2 And require surgery I have put the images at www.vpi.ie/pics if anyone has an opinion on these for me and question 2 is if stenosis does exist is this related to old age or the 2 car crashes I was 42 when I crashed and hadn't had a thing wrong ever and I am 47 now and feel like I am dying sorry about the lenth of this

Sorry to hear about all your problems. I had spinal fussion in 96 in lower back and it took a while to find someone to find the problem. This can be very upseting, when you to the nero does he see the mri himself or does he read a report ab out the mri that someone else wrote. The nero foound my problem in aobut 2 minutes. I was so revealed. They have since figured out I have DISH diease. I have gotten radio frequency nerve blocks and they last longer every time I get them in my neck. c2,c3,c4,c5,c6
I hurst so bad it seems to even get hot. Sometimes the LIMDERM patches seem to help have you tried them. My hands tingle , but the radio freq. nerve blocks stops that too. The lumber spine is where I was fussed and only gives me problems now and then. The pain in the cheek of the butt and goes down the leg. Anyway make sure it is the doctor who looks at the mri himself and keep serching for someone until they find it. I wish you the best and I feel for you too.
