How do I clean the roof vent for my washing machine?
Our washing machine drain pipe is backing up and overflowing at the beginning of the draining process. No evident blocks in the pipe. Can I snake the vent from the roof?

    Is this a new washer?
    What size is drain pipe?

It is recommended pipe be 2" and stand pipe 30" long.

If not a blockage, u can make a closed system. Use a rubber reducer that is put on with clamps to hold washer hose in.

    Good luck

Yes! Snake from the washer roof vent. If there's a problem after you snake click on back and we'll make it a closed system. Good luck, tom
