Is it my iPhone or is it the sim card?
I just got a jailbroken iPhone 2g and I got my tmobile sim card and everything was fine. I was making calls, txtn, even listening to my satellite radio. It was in my pocket and I bent to tie my shoe and it fell out. Ever since then my phone says no service or searching and that I have no service.. but this is what gets me, I don't know if it is my sim card or my phone because when I take the sim card out, it says no sim. When its in even when its searching, under my general settings under profile it still says t mobile.. so wouldn't that mean it is reading the sim therefore it's the sim or can it be the phone? I need help I just got it and I already can't use it... please help if you really know what you are talking about because I already hard restarted it and took the sim out for 15 minutes and reinserted it and is still no service or searching..

Well I work for ATT sooooo. . It could be either or. . but also keep in mind that the iPhone was specifically designed for ATT so sometimes with an unlocked phone the services might work okay for a little while and then stop working. If you can put your sim card into another phone and see if you get the same error message. If you do then it is defenitely the sim. Try taking somebody else's sim and putting it into the iPhone. If it doesn't work that means it's defenitely the device. And even though it says T-Mobile that doesn't rule out that it is the sim. Hope this helped. Buy defenitely try your sim in another phone and if you don't have another phone use a friends sim card and put it into your phone.

A SIM ejector is a small tool that usually comes with iPhones. Its purpose is to allow easy removal for the iPhone's SIM card and tray. If you have misplaced your SIM ejector, a paper clip works equally as well.
