    Washer will not agitate or spin
    Kenmore elite model #110.23032101 will not agitate or spin. It did let the water out and we can here it running, but, sounds like something hitting inside. I can not figure out how to take the cabinet apart to get a look at it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Breidam- I will give you a few causes for this problem. #1-The agittate and spin {SOLENIODS} ,one or both are probably gone bad, on your washer If I remember right thereare no soleniods in the motor that the motor controls the spin and agitate cycles;;
    TO remove the washer cabinet - #1A-disconnect the power to the washer,#2b-disconnect the washer water hoses;; Turn the faucets off,Remove the drain hoseUNplug the power cord and pull the washer out from the wall;;Now remove the access hole panel,and take a common screwdriver and pry THE CABINET TOP LOOSE AND raise it up;;now you can get to just about all ::#2-Have you checked the doorlid switch? Here is how to check it out,if bad replace the switch;;#2A-TO TEST THE SWITCH- THE SWitch will have a splash cover it ,take a {LOOSEN ]THE MOUNTING SCREWS Don't TAKE ALL WAY OUT] USE your fingers to feel if the switch is broken or not ;; remove the two wires from the switchuse a volt-ohm meter to check the switch take the two probes from the meter to both wire terminals meter on move the switch with your fingers - IFmeter should be set on the RX1scale;;now if the switch is good the meter should read ZERO OHMS,IF it reads high then the switch is bad [replace] see note below
    Here is some other things to check#1-while under neath the washer check the belts there should be no more then 3/4 inch slack in it between the motor pully and the other pully;; if there is tghen loosen the motor and adjust so belt is set right; if belt is broken replace;; I hope this will fix your problem , if not let me know by comeing back on this post ; and we will go to the other possibiltys;; Have a great day and GOD BLESS;;F.B.E.

    Don't try to take that washer apart from the back. It is only serviced from the front. The most common failure of that design washer is a broken drive coupler. This washer doesn't have a belt. It has a 3 part coupler that connects the drive motor to the transmission. This is the "weak link" in the system. It will be the first thing to break if trouble arises. Fortunately, 80 percent of the time, all you have to do is replace the coupler and you'll be up and running again. To replace this component, the control panel opens up, the entire cabinet comes off the washer, then the pump and drive motor must be removed to access the part. It's not an entirely horrible process, so if you so choose to tackle it, let me know.
