What time does he/you go to bed?

At 9 weeks old he only has a tiny little bladder and may just want to get out to go potty.

I have a 4 month old here and he was only 3 months when he arrived. He used to wake up at 6:30 on the dot, every morning!
Gradually we got him sleeping in later and later as he settled and got used to his new home and new routine.

Have you considered crating him overnight?

I also find that restricting them and giving them a specific bed area works well too.

I agree with Shaz, but I have to spread the rep. Do you have any thing out there to occupy his mind? Toys, bones, etc. How much exercise is he getting during the day?

I second that it could definitely be him needing to go out side. How long is he kept in there at a time?
