    Import Land Rover to USA
    I am looking at shipping my Land Rover 110 to the USA from England (UK) has anyone done this. It is a 1989 diesel which I plan to put through a Virginia car test. I need information on paperwork, shipping types (RoRo, container) cost, ports and shipping time.

    You won't be able to just yet. Unelss its 25 years old, it will be required to meet applicable safety and emmissions standards. After 25 years its considered an antique and is exempt. You will lose the vehicle to a customs bond (as well as the posted bond) if you do not make it comply in the required time. Something very expensive to do, and nearly impossible if it wasn't a model that was sold here in that period.

    Trust me... I've been sitting an a Motorcycle I've owned for the last 20 years in Europe in storage now to bring it back. Its 25 years old now but the exchange rate is so horrific I need to wait until it turns more favorible.

    And yes... I have shipped vehicles to Europe and shipped them back several years later.
