I have lived in my house for almost 7 years now. When I was like 7 or 8 years old I looked out my bedroom window every night for about a year. 1 night I saw a dark figure with glowing red eyes- but no one lived in the house that my bedroom window faced. I moved into a different bedroom but now I hear weird noises at night- and I swear it is NOT my parents or siblings because my siblings are always asleep at that time and my parents are watching TV downstairs. What am I supposed to do?

Well, lots of houses creak and groan, particularly at night.

Yes, your house may well be haunted but most often it's the old 'overactive imagination' that's really at work.

If your house is truly haunted then you're best to just ignore it or undertake a ritual to ask the spirits to move on - most ghosts are harmless and have no desire to harm living beings.

Im sorry but from what it sounds like this is not a ghost. Spirits of passed humans are ghosts which are just apparitions of our memories and souls. What you saw when you were young sounds like a demon, it is probably just a recon, a demon that surveys a certain person of the household and figures out if it can turn your loyalty from God. Which may sound silly but if you think about it, God Jehovah sent an angel named lucifer to hell for trying to rule Earth, when he left heaven he took his followers, angels that took lucifers side and they were sent to hell with him for eternity. Now lucifer is trying to turn our loyalty from God with lies. Either way, I would go to a church and simply ask a priest for help. Tell him what you see and hear and how long its been happening. If it gets progressivley worse and there are banging noises, a horrible stench, cold air rushing in the room, moving furniture or anything like that you may need more help. But I don't want to scare you I am just trying to explain and help you understand... oh and please for the love of God, do NOT take part in any séances or uiji boards or anything occult for it will draw evil to you... its like opening a door for dark entities to come in. Also before bed recite, As I lay thee down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take, hail Mary, full of grace, amen.

I found your answer!! After much digging I have found a way to expel this entity from your house!! I need you to kneel at your bed before you sleep and I need you to pray from your heart and say out loud "Please my lord Jehovah, i ask for your divine protection and ask that you please remove whatever evil is in my house....in the name of The Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost, amen." Please believe me... Jehovah is Gods tre name and only he has the power to tell the demons what to do. Do you know why people make the mistake of blaming Him for suffering and unruly demons? Mostly its because people think He is the ruler of this world... but it clearly says in the bible "John 5:19, The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." The real ruler of this earth is the Devil.

KT this is not the answer to everything in this category , first thing is to find out if there is a problem.

And asked it over a year ago and not returned.
But you have posted the same answer in other threads also , and it has not been appropriate in any of them.
Not once has it been determined that the events were paranormal or demonic or called for anything more that investigating the cause.

Perhaps we should start at the beginning.

Yes that's true and that's why I am saying that what you are doing is to feed a fear.
That can cause adverse reactions and if the people are being emotionally extreme , which happens often, telling them that they need God to get rid of their demons could convince them they have demons, ghosts, spirits, or whatever when there is nothing more than an overactive imagination.
This could cause them any number of problems potentially serious.

We need to examine all of the consequences of what we say.

Be sure of what is happening and use caution , do not jump to conclusions.
