I have a fractured femur and a loose stem in a hip prothesis.
I had a hip replacement in 2007 then fell off a ladder in 2010. I was told the implant was fine but I had a spiral fracture of my femur. My doctor sent me home to heal and I have been unable to weight bear for 7 months now. According to a radiology report, there is a 2mm cortical rim surrounding the femoral stem plus the break is still not completely healed. Are these 2 problems linked and what can I do about it?

Please understand that we are not doctors. This is something you will have to discuss with a doctor, preferably and osteopathic doctor.
