What shower/tub trim set will work for Moen valve cartridge # 109272?
I saw John's answer to Art's question. But my question is the other way around. Art tried to find a replacement valve cartridge for Moen # 109272. My valve cartridge is working, but missing shower trim, single handle and tub diverter. I am trying to find a Moen shower/tub trim set would work for my existing Moen valve cartridge # 109272. If Art can tell me what Moen model on his shower/tub trim set, I am in business. Can Art or John help? Thanks. Ava

Call 1-800-BUY-MOEN. Ask them same question. They'll tell you exactly what trim you is compatible with your faucet.

P/N 109272 is not a good number for Moen, do as Milo suggested Moen customers service are very helpful and I ma sure the take to right direction and find you the trim, if you have the model number of your faucet we may be able to find it for you but the best shot is get hold of Moen, Tanks.

In case anyone ever needs to know. The 109272 number is the production number for moen. The replacement is number 1222 in a carton and 1222b in a white plastic bag (both the same).

Mine was leaking when we moved into our new house. After taking it out and calling Moen for a replacement (which will take 2 weeks to come) I ended up just cleaning up the original one and greased it up before installing (making sure the rubber pieces did not jam up or slide around) and now it does not leak at all.

I figure the guys who built the house probably did not use any grease because one of the rubber slats looked a little folded from being kinked up in there.
