    Weather stripping bilko doors
I have metal Bilko doors that lead to the basement. Is there anyway to weatherize them. When it rains water acumuates inside on the cement floor.

I have looked at a few Bilco web sites to study their products closer.

They seem to have a soft seal around the entire door and the base of the doors overlap the base of the frame making this a waterproof seal.

Do you see light on the bottom(or anywhere around the doors),when they are closed? If so,there could be a binding issue.

Pictures would greatly assist us to help with further guidance.

If the soft seal is deteriorated, that can be replaced inexpensively.

If there is a bind in the system, that can(hopefully) be corrected by removal of any debris in the hinge sides or the lower lip.

If the water is getting in at the base, maintenance to the mortar would stop the water coming in.

Let us know if this helps and write back again with any further questions.
