UC-9051T Fan Switch does not work all the time
I have a UC9051T Regency Remote Fan Switch that sometimes works and sometimes it does not. I have replaced the switch and transmitter. When it does not work, if I take it out of the electrical box it works fine. When I put it back in the box it will work for a while and then eventually it will stop working. It is in a box with another switch that controls some recessed lights around the fan. Sometime when it is not working, I will turn the Recessed lights switch on and then the UC-9051T will work. This does not work all the time though. Could it be getting interference from the other switch.

If unit is in box with other switches your problem could be either a bad hot wire or neutral wire connection. There can be 2 causes if the wires are wired tied together you could have a bad connection. Undo the twist caps and redo them. I have had this problem a couple of times. The second problem could be if they are jumpered from one switch or plug to another through the slip in wire guides in the back of the plug or switch. This is a more common problem then you might think. I have had this problem with many houses. Fix remove wire from back and reinstall on screw terminals, If now screw terminals replce switch or plug.

Wall switch doesn't work for fan [ 2 Answers ]

I installed a Hampton Bay fan/light. The pull chains work to turn it on or off, but the wall switch doesn't do anything. The light that was there was operated by the switch, so I think I might have connected a wire wrong. Any ideas? There were 4 sets of wires coming into the box, some of them...
