    Texas bank levies
I am senior citizen living on fixed income consisting of social security and my deceased husbands pensions. I am physically unable to work. I own a house and car which are current on payments. I have no other assets. I live in a senior apartment complex and my daughter and family live in my house and pay the monthly payments. I have no equity in my home or car. I owe about $ 45,000 in unsecured credit card debit. These accounts are several months past due. Can these creditors attach a levy on my bank account?

Your social security would be exempt from a bank levy if the creditors were to get a judgement but it would be up to you to prove the money is from social security but if the house is in your name they may try to put a lien on the property{once they got a judgement} You would have to check with your state laws.Have you received any thing about a court date? Have you tried working out a payment plan?
