    Can my life partner adopt my son
    I am a lesbian in a relationship. I would like to know if and how my girlfriend can adopt my seven month old son.

    Depends on a lot of things.

    Your state is the biggest though--some states allow same-sex life partner adoptions, some require marriage, period.

    Also depends on whether the father of the child will relinquish parental rights so that an adoption can take place.
