Is freight-out at all included on the Retail Inventory Method under the cost or retail colums? I understand its an expense on the income statement and might be a reduction to sales but when finding inventory based on the Retail Method does it get included with the frieght-in costs, sales section, or is it not even a part of Retail Method?

Freight out is always considered as a selling expense and does not enter into calculation of inventory valuation applying retail method.
