    null hypothesis
Any chance someone can explain null hypothesis?
If my hypothesis is that age affects physical activity – after completing a random survey and this point is not proved – is this my null hypothesis? Then I wouldn’t reject it, so what do I do?

Your null hypothesis would be Ho: age doesn't affect physical activity
or no assocaition between them. Ho is set so that the response observed is by chance

If it is not proved, it indicates that your sample data did not show evidence to reject the null hypothesis, remember you are not proving null hypothesis
