Is Facebook a good way to do it? Seems most Facebook people are party types. I messaged a few people living in my town but I don't know if they will be interested.

ANyway, what other ways are there?
I asked the local college , they have a program to meet foreigners, but it rarely works.
The students always say they are busy with homework, then they stopp communication.

I've heard some americans meet japanese in night clubs, etc.. But that's not me. Not my thing.

Have you tried online dating? I mean I know it's kind of out there, but based on our other posts, I just don't know what to tell you... There are lots of great sites that are safe and secure, and you can meet local people.

Hmm what about writing an add on the personals like Kijiji or something? I know you said that you are not a social person, but what about joining a club of some sort. Is there anything that peaks your interest? Chess? Cards? Magic? Anything like that? What about volunteering? I think you need to push yourself to be in more of social settings, like coffee shops. I agree with a lot of the other posters here who said you need to socialize more. How about just meeting people and learning how to talk to them as friends first. You do sterotype people a lot, and you might have a better chance if you didn't do that. People don't like to fall under one catergory.
