I met a man about a month ago we hit it off right away and were seeing each other almost everyday, and talking a few times a day. He seemed as into me as I was him. We ran into an exgirlfriend of his, someone he just broke us with a couple of months before meeting me. She told him she wanted to try and work it out and that she missed him. I am shocked and devastated, I really thought things were going well with us. He is a cancer and I am a scorpio what are the chances of getting back with him at some point

I feel strongly that the guy you met recently is the one that is interested in getting back together with his ex.
He never did "let go" of her to begin with---and until he is 100% finished with his connection with her, you don't have any reason to hold on.
You need to keep a low profile (away from him) and remain focused on your own needs and social life. If he is meant to re-emerge at some later date, then so be it.
For some reason I feel that you'll experience a "shift" in the way you feel about him---you'll feel protective of yourself and you won't want to take a chance of going down the same road with him---as far as being led on is concerned.
